This is common where both the parents are working. They are not around their children so they compensate by allowing them to buy their video or the dress they want.
They do not realise that this will have an adverse impact in their growing years.

When I look back at my growing years I feel am lucky that I had mom who was there for me all the time though dad was busy.
Even I feel guilty sometimes when I know that am not spending enough time with my kid...
