Adriana Lima Wows Victoria Secret Runway with Post-Baby Figure

Brazilian beauty and supermodel Adriana Lima showed up ready to walk the runway at the Victoria’ Secret Fashion Show.

True to form, the model was in excellent condition but what was remarkable is that Lima gave birth to her second child exactly two months prior. With true grace, Lima was not attempting to portray herself as having a body superior to any other woman.

Rather, she was demonstrating the resolve it takes to regain a pre-baby figure.

In her case, she hired a personal trainer who would put her through 2-3 hour workout sessions twice daily for eight weeks to prepare for the show.

“Adriana’s goal is the same as every healthy woman’s, return to pre-baby shape. She sets the bar high,” Lima’s trainer, Michael Olajide Jr., told Celebuzz back in October.

The Huffington Post reports, Olajide worked with the Brazilian beauty for two to three hours, twice a day, seven days a week. To get ready for the Victoria’s Secret show, Lima did boxing and jump rope with specialized sculpting maneuvers.

Lima was said to not shy away from pushing her body to sweat and her heart to pound as if it were going to leap out of her chest. Lima showed that with sheer resolve and a willingness to work hard, a woman can retain her figure.

The 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs on CBS on Dec. 4.
