Contrary to various urban legends, breast milk does not actually kill the HIV virus.
In fact, the HIV virus can be transmitted via breast milk, and can be used as a vehicle by the virus to transport itself from an infected person to another person that isn’t yet infected.
The problem of course is that so many people these days absolutely refuse to get tested.
And that of course is a huge dilemma for public health specialists, agencies, and non-profit organizations.
There are a number of studies being conducted currently as to whether or not there can ever be a situation wherein breast milk can actually kill the virus, but that has not yet been proven to be the case thus far.
