Nap-Time?

When does your child usually fall asleep? What time does your child usually wake up? Does your child wake up in the night and cry?

I think all kids wake up in the night and cry. It just depends at what point the kids stop doing this and sleep through the night. If not sleep through, at least entertain themselves until you arrive.

My kid doesn't wake up at the night anymore and cry but he does ask for milk the first thing in the morning and he still takes naps occasionally during noon-time. I'm trying to get him to break the habit of taking naps because he will be going to pre-school soon.

That is a good idea, making him learn before he needs to. It will just become normal to stay awake the whole day and might allow you to get a bigger lie in during the mornings.

I totally understand what you are saying. It can be very tempting to wake your baby but Ive found that this usually backfires and they end up going to bed late anyway or having a bad night of sleep. Of course when I see my 8MO falling asleep in the backseat after dropping my older daughter off at Kindergarten at 8am, and I want her to stay awake for awhile longer hoping she will take a longer nap when we get home, I will stop at the store and purposely get her out and wake her up.

I know its hard to get everything done and there isnt much time for you and your husband. I feel like Im 10 steps behind on all the things I need to get done yet Im running around like crazy busy doing things. It gets A LOT harder with 2 kids. Just do what works for you and if that means waking him up from his nap, then no biggie. As long as hes not too cranky. My baby only takes about 20 minute naps so its really hard to get things done

My son woke up for feeding until he was about 4 months old. Since then he sleeps through the night. We put him in bed at 9PM and he gets up between 8-9Am.

I need my kids to take naps because otherwise I would not have enough energy to handle them. Also their nap time gives me a time to do laundry, cook and clear up a bit while eating lunch and having a coffee. Oh I also try to check my emails as well!
