New Girl Scout Cookie Boxes To Debut This Fall

Girl Scout Cookie Box Makeover

Girl Scout cookies have long been a favorite snack item. This fall, the organization is launching a brand new box design.

The organization is celebrating its 100th birthday of empowering young women and is redesigning the packaging for the first time since 1999, reports the Huffington Post.

The new cookie box design includes the five entrepreneurial skills that they teach girls. These include; business ethics, money management, goal setting, decision making, and people skills.

“We have more than 50 million cookie customers across the country, and the cookie box is the most tangible and powerful way for us to communicate directly with consumers,” said Girl Scouts of the USA Chief Executive Anna Maria Chávez.

The fall season begins in October and lasts through the month of May. The more than 50 million cookie buyers will be able to admire the photographs of Pulitzer-Prize winning photographer David Hume Kennerly. Among the scenes depicted are girls kayaking and speaking publicly.

The last cookie package makeover was in 1999.
