Pampers® Pacifiers, Bed-Side Sleepers Recalled

Pampers® Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers have been recalled because the back part of the pacifiers may not be wide enough to prevent infants from choking on the pacifier. These are yellow, pink, and blue pacifiers sold from September 2010 to March 2011. Approximately 14,000 of the recalled pacifiers were sold during that time period. Consumers that purchased the recalled pacifiers should immediately discontinue their use, and contact Key Baby, Inc., the distributor of Pampers® Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers, at 800-447-1224 for a refund or replacement. An online return form can be found at www.key-baby.com.

Arm’s Reach bed-side sleepers have been recalled because misuse of the mattress liner can allow infants to fall and become trapped between the mattress and the side of the sleeper, leading to risk of suffocation. No injuries have been reported, but ten incidents of infants becoming trapped have been reported between 1997 and 2001. The model numbers affected by the recall start with the following numbers:

Originals – 8108, 8133, 8111, 8112 & 8199
Universal – 8311

Consumers that are using the Arm’s Reach bed-side sleepers included in the recall should visit www.armsreach.com for a copy of instructions on proper use. No returns are necessary.
