Tina Fey, the star of the hit NBC television sitcom “30 Rock,” has just brought into the world the newest addition to her family, Penelope Anthony Richmond.
Fey, who already has one daughter, five-year-old Alice, delivered her second child on Wednesday. The father is Fey’s husband of ten years, composer Jeff Richmond, who also works for the same television show as Fey.
Fey first revealed that she was pregnant on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” back in April. She admitted that she was unsure at one time as to whether she wanted to have another child, but she ultimately decided that it was the right decision for Jeff and her.
Having a child five years ago clearly changed her outlook on life and work. Although she has always been a driven person, Fey said that she became much more sympathetic toward people balancing work and family life after she had a child of her own.
There was no indication as to whether this would be the last addition to the family of the 41-year-old actress and comedian. The couple had hinted in the past that they would wait to make a decision about having additional children until after “30 Rock” went off-the-air, but they didn’t want to wait that long.
